Hugo

Hugo separates content records, templates, and generated output. That structure becomes useful when many articles share the same layout and metadata. Start by understanding where each part lives and how one draft becomes a published page. Check the project's Hugo version before adapting template examples, and record any theme requirements that another maintainer will need to reproduce the build.

The Hugo overview explains the publishing model, while the content-to-release walkthrough follows a small working site. Preview representative drafts, inspect collection pages, and build a clean production artifact. Keep routine corrections in source files so the next build preserves them, then verify the exact output directory your host will publish.
